Aleksey Ovchinin
Aleksey Nikolayevich Ovchinin is a Russian Air Force reserve lieutenant colonel, test cosmonaut, and multiple-flight ISS veteran. His record is unusual because it includes both long-duration station missions and the Soyuz MS-10 launch abort.

Bio
Ovchinin trained as a military pilot through Borisoglebsk and Yeisk pilot schools and served as an instructor and aviation-unit before cosmonaut selection. He was selected by the Gagarin Cosmonaut Training Center in 2006 and qualified as a test cosmonaut in 2009.
He commanded Soyuz TMA-20M for 47/48, survived the Soyuz MS-10 launch abort with Nick Hague in 2018, returned to the ISS on Soyuz MS-12 for Expeditions 59/60, and flew Soyuz MS-26 for Expeditions 71/72. His career total is 595 days in space.
Ovchinin has also performed ISS work, commanded Expedition 60, and represents the modern Soyuz era in which Russian commanders have flown repeated station rotations through both normal and contingency missions.
