Andrew M. Allen
Andrew Michael Allen is an American Marine Corps officer, naval aviator, test pilot, and retired NASA astronaut. Selected in NASA Astronaut Group 12 in 1987, he flew three shuttle missions during the 1990s.

Bio
Allen entered NASA after Marine aviation and test-pilot service. His cockpit background led to shuttle pilot and assignments that involved international payloads, science operations, and tethered satellite technology.
He piloted STS-46 and STS-62, then commanded STS-75. Those missions included the European Retrievable Carrier, the Tethered Satellite System, microgravity research, Earth-observation work, and international science operations.
After NASA, Allen moved into aerospace and launch-site business leadership in Florida.
