Bio
Shkaplerov learned to fly in Sevastopol, graduated from the Kachinsk Air Force Pilot School in 1994, and completed additional study at the Zhukovsky Air Force Engineering Academy in 1997. He served as a pilot-instructor before cosmonaut selection.
He commanded or flew Soyuz TMA-22, Soyuz TMA-15M, Soyuz MS-07, and Soyuz MS-19. His ISS career included 29/30, 42/43, 54/55, and 65/66, plus station command and three .
Shkaplerov's fourth flight, Soyuz MS-19, also carried the Russian film-project crew to the ISS. Across four flights he logged more than 709 days in space.
