Christer Fuglesang
Arne Christer Fuglesang is a Swedish physicist, ESA astronaut, and the first Swedish citizen to fly in space. His two shuttle missions both supported International assembly and logistics.

Bio
Fuglesang studied engineering physics at the Royal Institute of Technology and earned a doctorate in particle physics from Stockholm University. He worked at CERN before ESA selected him in the 1992 astronaut group.
He flew STS-116 in 2006 and performed three during work on the ISS P5 truss and station electrical reconfiguration. He returned on STS-128 in 2009 and performed two more EVAs during logistics and outfitting work.
Across five spacewalks, Fuglesang logged more than thirty-one hours outside the station. His career connected European science training, ESA astronaut development, and late shuttle-era ISS assembly.
