Clayton C. Anderson
Clayton Conrad Anderson is an American engineer, author, educator, and retired NASA astronaut closely associated with Nebraska's spaceflight history. He flew one long-duration ISS mission and one later shuttle logistics mission.

Bio
Anderson earned degrees from Hastings College and Iowa State University before joining NASA as an engineer and manager. He spent years inside NASA operations before being selected as an astronaut in 1998.
His first spaceflight launched on STS-117, remained aboard the ISS through 15 and 16, and returned on STS-120. He later flew STS-131, a shuttle logistics mission to the station.
Anderson performed six and later became a visible public speaker and author. His archive now counts the STS-117/STS-120 expedition span as one spaceflight with separate launch and return vehicles.
