Curtis L. Brown Jr.
Curtis Lee Brown Jr. is a retired United States Air Force colonel, test pilot, and six-flight NASA astronaut. He flew three missions as shuttle pilot and three as , becoming one of the more frequently flown shuttle commanders of the 1990s.

Bio
Brown graduated from the United States Air Force Academy with an electrical engineering degree in 1978 and became an Air Force pilot, instructor, and test pilot. He logged thousands of hours in high-performance aircraft before NASA selected him in 1987.
His pilot missions were STS-47, STS-66, and STS-77. He then commanded STS-85, STS-95, and STS-103, moving from Spacelab and atmospheric science into technology payloads, John Glenn's return to orbit, and Hubble servicing.
After NASA, Brown remained active in aviation and air-racing circles. His record now reflects the full six-flight arc, with each mission's operational purpose separated rather than compressed into a list.
