Denis Vladimirovich Matveev
Denis Vladimirovich Matveev is a retired Russian engineer and Roscosmos cosmonaut whose single spaceflight became an -heavy International mission. He flew on Soyuz MS-21 with an all-Russian crew and spent more than six months aboard the station.

Bio
Matveev studied computing and networks at Bauman Moscow State Technical University, graduating in 2006. He then worked at the Gagarin Cosmonaut Training Center, moving from research-assistant and engineering roles into cosmonaut selection in 2010.
His only spaceflight, Soyuz MS-21, launched in March 2022 with Oleg Artemyev and Sergey Korsakov. The crew served during 66 and 67, supporting station research, Russian-segment operations, maintenance, and visiting-vehicle activity.
Matveev completed four EVAs totaling 26 hours, 7 minutes, most of them tied to European Robotic Arm outfitting and Russian-segment work. He retired from the cosmonaut corps in July 2024 after one completed long-duration mission.
