Dmitry Aleksandrovich Petelin
Dmitry Aleksandrovich Petelin is a Roscosmos test cosmonaut and aeronautical engineer whose first mission became an unexpectedly extended year-long International stay. He launched on Soyuz MS-22 and returned on Soyuz MS-23 after a coolant leak forced a replacement spacecraft plan.

Bio
Petelin graduated from South Ural State University in 2006 with an aircraft and helicopter engineering background. He worked as an engineer before joining the 2012 Roscosmos cosmonaut group and qualifying as a test cosmonaut in 2014.
He launched on Soyuz MS-22 in September 2022 with Sergey Prokopyev and Frank Rubio. After the docked Soyuz MS-22 suffered a coolant leak, Roscosmos launched Soyuz MS-23 uncrewed as the replacement return vehicle.
Petelin remained aboard the ISS for 370 days, 21 hours, 23 minutes, serving across 67/68/69 activity. He completed six totaling 39 hours, 44 minutes, supporting Russian-segment outfitting and station work.
