Gregory Carl Johnson
Gregory Carl Johnson is an American retired naval aviator, Navy Reserve captain, test pilot, aerospace engineer, and former NASA astronaut. He flew as pilot on STS-125, the final Hubble Space Telescope servicing mission.

Bio
Johnson studied aerospace engineering and entered naval aviation and test-pilot work before NASA selected him with Astronaut Group 17 in 1998. His military and engineering career placed him in the shuttle pilot track.
His only spaceflight was STS-125 aboard Atlantis in 2009. The mission performed the last shuttle servicing visit to Hubble, installing new instruments and repairing systems that extended the telescope's life well into the next decade.
Although Johnson did not perform the , his pilot role was central to the , proximity operations, and support required for a complex telescope-servicing mission.
