Bio
Al Mansouri trained as a military pilot and flew with the UAE Air Force before selection to the UAE Astronaut Programme in 2018. He trained in Russia for Soyuz operations, ISS daily work, emergency procedures, and mission-specific outreach and science.
He launched on Soyuz MS-15 in September 2019 with Oleg Skripochka and Jessica Meir, joining an unusually crowded handover period aboard the International . His mission included student experiments, , Arabic-language outreach, and biomedical monitoring.
Al Mansouri returned on Soyuz MS-12 with Aleksey Ovchinin and Nick Hague after nearly eight days in space. His flight helped establish the UAE astronaut corps before later Emirati long-duration ISS missions.
