Laurel Blair Clark
Laurel Blair Clark was a United States Navy physician, flight surgeon, undersea medical officer, and NASA astronaut. Her only spaceflight, STS-107, was a dedicated Columbia science mission that ended in the loss of the vehicle and crew during on February 1, 2003.

Bio
Clark trained first as a zoologist and physician at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. In the Navy, she served in submarine and diving medicine, aviation medicine, and operational medical support, giving NASA a with unusually strong human-performance and extreme-environment experience.
NASA selected Clark in Astronaut Group 16 in 1996. On STS-107 she worked as a mission specialist on a research-heavy crew carrying experiments in life sciences, physical sciences, combustion, materials, and aboard Spacehab. Clark's record also belongs to the history of Navy medicine, women in operational aerospace medicine, and shuttle science missions.
