Mark Charles Lee
Mark Charles Lee is a retired United States Air Force colonel, test pilot, engineer, and former NASA astronaut. He flew four shuttle missions and became known for payload leadership, work, and one of the most unusual crew-assignment stories in shuttle history.

Bio
Lee graduated from the United States Air Force Academy with a civil engineering degree and later earned a master's degree in mechanical engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. His Air Force work included fighter aviation, engineering, and operational support before NASA selected him in 1984.
His first mission, STS-30, deployed Magellan toward Venus. On STS-47 he served as payload for Spacelab-J, flying with Jan Davis, his wife at the time, which made them the first married couple to fly together in space.
Lee later performed EVA work on STS-64 and STS-82. STS-64 included SAFER rescue-unit testing, while STS-82 was the second Hubble Space Telescope servicing mission, giving Lee a role in one of NASA's most visible observatory-maintenance campaigns.
