Bio
Novitsky served as a military pilot before entering the cosmonaut corps in 2006. His early aviation career and Russian Air Force rank gave him a traditional operational path into Soyuz command and ISS work.
He flew Soyuz TMA-06M, Soyuz MS-03, and Soyuz MS-18 for long-duration station assignments. In 2024 he commanded Soyuz MS-25, launched with Tracy Caldwell Dyson and Maryna Vasileuskaya, and returned after a short stay on Soyuz MS-24 with Vasileuskaya and Loral O'Hara. Expedition numbers remain mission context, not extra flight cards.
