Roberta Bondar
Roberta Lynn Bondar is a Canadian neurologist, researcher, photographer, and former Canadian Space Agency astronaut. She became Canada's first woman in space and the first neurologist to fly in space.

Bio
Bondar's education spans zoology, experimental pathology, neuroscience, and medicine. That scientific and medical background made her a natural fit for life-sciences research on Spacelab missions.
She flew STS-42 in 1992, the International Microgravity Laboratory-1 mission, where the crew studied life sciences, materials science, and how humans and biological systems respond to microgravity.
After spaceflight, Bondar led international space medicine research and became a major public voice in science, photography, and environmental education.
