Sandra Hall Magnus
Sandra Hall Magnus is an American engineer, former NASA astronaut, long-duration ISS crew member, and aerospace leader. Her career spans shuttle assembly missions, 18, the final shuttle flight, and later professional leadership in aerospace organizations.

Bio
Magnus studied physics, electrical engineering, and materials science before working as an engineer. NASA selected her with Astronaut Group 16 in 1996, a class deeply involved in ISS construction and early station operations.
She first flew STS-112 in 2002, an ISS assembly mission. Her long-duration flight began with STS-126 in 2008, continued through Expedition 18, and ended when she returned on STS-119 in 2009.
Magnus flew again on STS-135 in 2011, the final Space Shuttle mission. That flight made her part of the crew that closed the shuttle program while delivering final logistics to the International .
After NASA, Magnus served in leadership roles including executive director of the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics.
