Bio
Auñón-Chancellor studied electrical engineering and medicine before working as a NASA flight surgeon. NASA selected her with Astronaut Group 20 in 2009.
She launched on Soyuz MS-09 in 2018 and served aboard the International during 56 and 57. Her mission supported research, maintenance, visiting vehicles, and station medical operations.
Her background as both engineer and physician made her especially relevant to the human-performance and space-medicine side of station work. After returning from orbit, she continued in NASA roles connected to astronaut health and station medical support.
