Bio
Tarelkin graduated from the Yeysk Air Force School and the Gagarin Air Force Academy before selection to the TsPK-13 cosmonaut group in 2003. He completed basic training in 2005 and moved through the station-crew assignment pipeline.
Soyuz TMA-06M launched in October 2012 with Oleg Novitskiy, Tarelkin, and NASA astronaut Kevin Ford. The crew joined the ISS, supported science and operations, and returned safely in March 2013.
After his spaceflight, Tarelkin remained connected to crew training and analog work, including command roles in ground-based isolation experiments. His record is a clean one-flight ISS career rather than a separate Expedition 33 and Expedition 34 flight count.
