Japan Meteorological Agency’s first observation image from MTSAT-2, labeled 02:00 UTC on May 11, 2006. The full grayscale Earth disk and black margins are retained. This is a processed satellite observation, not an image of the spacecraft; the source does not identify the spectral channel.
