Scott Joseph Kelly
Scott Joseph Kelly is an American retired naval aviator, test pilot, engineer, and NASA astronaut. He is best known for the nearly year-long ISS mission that made him one of NASA's most visible long-duration astronauts.

Bio
Kelly graduated from the State University of New York Maritime College and later earned a graduate degree at the University of Tennessee. NASA selected him with Astronaut Group 16 in 1996, the same class as his twin brother Mark Kelly.
He flew STS-103 as pilot and STS-118 as , then served on the ISS during 25 and 26. His final mission launched on Soyuz TMA-16M and spanned Expeditions 43, 44, 45, and 46 as part of the one-year mission with Mikhail Kornienko.
The year-long mission supported medical and human-performance research for future deep-space missions. The twin study with Mark Kelly made Scott's mission especially useful for comparing spaceflight changes with a genetically similar Earth-based subject.
