From containers to work
The station’s logistics task continues after docking. Supplies must be identified, stowed and made available to the right activity. A fictional experiment package hidden behind unrelated containers might arrive on time yet miss the period when the crew can use it. Unpacking order is an operational choice.

Mass and volume are different limits
A light but bulky item can consume valuable storage volume. A small heavy item can affect handling and packaging plans. In a fictional manifest exercise, compare the contents by mass, dimensions, access needs and urgency. No single total tells you whether the load is practical inside a working station.

Maintain the record
Crew members and ground teams need an inventory that reflects what actually arrived, moved or was consumed. If a label is unreadable, assuming its contents from the box shape creates uncertainty later. Record the discrepancy, identify the item and update its location before relying on it in a maintenance or experiment plan.
