STS-125
Atlantis gives Hubble new instruments and a final comprehensive overhaul
STS-125 completed Hubble Servicing Mission 4, the observatory's final Shuttle visit. Across five astronauts installed Wide Field Camera 3 and the Cosmic Origins Spectrograph, repaired two existing instruments, replaced gyroscopes and batteries, added thermal protection and a docking target, and extended Hubble's productive life.
