The Apollo Lunar Module was the two- spacecraft that carried astronauts from lunar orbit to the Moon's surface and back to the command module. It first flew uncrewed on Apollo 5, flew crewed in Earth orbit on Apollo 9, and supported the Apollo lunar landing missions.
