Space programs and missions · A guided course
Student engineering, shared experiments and the lessons of a difficult radio link
Explore Nigeria’s BIRDS-1 CubeSat through its people, station deployment, experiment design and engineering lessons.
Suggested preparation is listed in the course · Start whenever you’re ready

NASA astronaut Jack Fischer photographed the BIRDS-1 deployment from Kibo on 7 July 2017. Two small spacecraft move away from the deployer. Nigeria EduSat-1 belonged to this deployment campaign; the NASA catalogue describes the international group without identifying each visible spacecraft by position. This is a release photograph, not a payload-performance measurement.

Nigeria EduSat-1: learning by building a spacecraft
Student engineering, shared experiments and the lessons of a difficult radio link
Start whenever you’re ready. Preparation is suggested, and every course stays open.
Two deployment paths, compact systems and the first useful signals
One suggested order from the foundations to Nigeria EduSat-1: learning by building a spacecraft. Shared starting points appear once; skip anything you already know.
